|name: Line Up||commisioned by: Van Abbemuseum Eindhoven, The Netherlands|
The main goal of the design of the exhibition was to give people a look in the archive of the project: Be(com)ing Dutch. An archetype scene was therefore chosen to emphasise ‘collecting’... the scene of lines full of clothes that are hanging to dry. This scene is typically Dutch but also internationally known.
Everything that was collected during Be(com)ing Dutch was selected and presented on ‘dry lines’, that hang between the walls in the tower of the Van Abbemuseum. The lines make an optical connection between the walls and the different floors.
Each type of media, such as text, video and sound, has its own way of presentation.
The materials that were used give the exhibition a pure, functional, industrial look.
